Alvin Edwards' Big Game Leads Harlingen South over Weslaco East
Starting off the list is Harlingen South's Alvin Edwards, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Edwards rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.

While Flour Bluff might've come up empty on Friday, Jayden Paluseo wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Paluseo was still balling out as he threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Flour Bluff moved to 9-1 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak. Paluseo and Flour Bluff will take on McAllen Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
