Nauset Regional had a rough outing against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Nauset Regional took their game against Marshfield on Friday 21-13. Marshfield can consider this payback for the 6-35 defeat they dealt Nauset Regional the last time the teams encountered one another.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Nauset Regional offense stepped up its game and put 21 points on the board in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Marshfield couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. Nauset Regional were outperformed in the second half 0-13 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win got them back to even at 2-2. Marshfield are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Next week Nauset Regional take on Wareham at 7:00 PM. Wareham took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Nauset Regional's good fortune.
