O'Connor found their leader in sophomore Casey Chavez, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Chavez has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Hererra, who dropped a double-double on ten boards and 11 assists.
Taft's loss dropped their record down to 10-25. As for O'Connor, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-14.
