Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clements). They enjoyed a cozy 50-31 win over the Elkmont Red Devils on Friday. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 16-0 victory the Red Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Jake Fleming had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 357 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clements was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 414 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Clements didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grayson Borden and Kingston Croft. Croft got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Elkmont still got an impressive performance from Reid Bardos, who threw for 173 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 39 yards.
Clements moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Elkmont, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
