After two games on the road, Fairfax is heading back home. They will take on the Lake Braddock Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fairfax is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Braddock in Virginia (Fairfax is ranked 77th, while Lake Braddock is ranked 289th).
Even though Woodson scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Fairfax still came out on top. Fairfax managed a 62-57 win over Woodson. The victory was just what Fairfax needed coming off of a 72-35 loss in their prior game.
Fairfax had a senior duo take command as Cameron Love dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds and Ronier Peters dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Thomas, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lake Braddock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against West Potomac, falling 64-35. Lake Braddock has not had much luck with West Potomac recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Fairfax's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Lake Braddock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Fairfax strolled past Lake Braddock when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 69-55. Does Fairfax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Braddock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
