For the first time this season, Chowchilla will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fowler Redcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Chowchilla barely beat Los Banos the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tribe never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tribe as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Kasey Vlot, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Moore, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Chowchilla hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Fowler made sure to put some runs up on the board against Coalinga on Tuesday. The Redcats put the hurt on the Horned Toads with a sharp 13-3 victory.
Bradie Monis spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Fowler got a massive performance out of Mckenzie Monis, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Monis has posted since back in April of 2025. Brooklyn Medeiros was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Fowler's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Chowchilla, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chowchilla hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Fowler struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chowchilla came up short against Fowler in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 8-3. Will the Tribe have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
