Stuart is 7-2 against Twin Loup since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Stuart Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Twin Loup Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Stuart focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Stuart was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Bloomfield.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hunter Tubbs, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. He scored a full 30.4% of Stuart's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayde Ramm, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Twin Loup came up short against Sandhills/Thedford on Saturday and fell 41-33. Twin Loup has not had much luck with Sandhills/Thedford recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Their wins bumped Stuart to 2-1 and Bloomfield to 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Stuart against Twin Loup when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 63-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stuart since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
