On Friday Waterloo West take on Hoover at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close game.
If Waterloo West were riding high off their 34-0 takedown of Mason City two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Waterloo West were completely outmatched, falling 7-49 to Ankeny Centennial.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Indianola in their previous matchup, Hoover were happy to find some success last Friday. Hoover skirted past Des Moines North 21-18.
Hoover's victory lifted them to 1-3 while Waterloo West's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. We'll find out if Hoover can add another positive mark to their record or if Waterloo West can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Hoover's step.
