Big Game from Mcroberts Jr. As Wright City Fell 33-28
Starting off the list is Wright City's Duan McRoberts Jr., who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. McRoberts Jr. rushed for 253 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 41 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
If history really does repeat itself, McRoberts Jr. might just drop another big game when he faces off against North Callaway on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time McRoberts Jr. saw the Thunderbirds), he rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 87 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Pontius Made His Presence Known in South Callaway's 49-8 Win
Graden Pontius was instrumental in extending South Callaway's winning streak to six on Friday. Pontius was dynamite, rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
South Callaway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Pontius and South Callaway will square off against Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Adrian Combs Leads Montgomery County over Wright City
Adrian Combs produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Montgomery County to the win on Friday. Combs rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 373 yards and a touchdown. Montgomery County is 2-1 when Combs posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-5 otherwise.
