The Potter-Dix Coyotes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Platte 51-15 at home. The result was nothing new for Potter-Dix, who have now won seven games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Potter-Dix was led to victory by Dylan Tabor and Brayden Kasten. Tabor threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, while Kasten gained 123 total yards and four touchdowns. Kasten was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards. Another player making a difference was Dawsen Monheiser, who gained 88 total yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why South Platte lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Einspahr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Potter-Dix's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 60 points. As for South Platte, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Potter-Dix will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Cloud at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Red Cloud is ranked 64th, while Potter-Dix is ranked 54th). South Platte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
