Westside is 8-2 against the Eagles since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Westside Rams will be playing at home against the Greenwood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Westside sitting on ten straight victories and the Eagles on three.
Westside can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Greenville 61-39. Given Westside's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Khalia Hartwell, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Ahrianna Scott was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though Greenwood has not done well against the Red Raiders recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Greenwood enjoyed a cozy 47-31 win over the Red Raiders.
Westside's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.8 points. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.
Westside strolled past the Eagles when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 47-32. Does Westside have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
