Northside Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Wilson Hall Barons 59-42. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Barons are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northside Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evie Godfrey, who posted 22 points in addition to six assists and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Godfrey has scored at least a third of Northside Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaelyn Tifre, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Northside Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Northside Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Wilson Hall, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Northside Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Ashley Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 25.1 points per game this season, so Ashley Hall's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Wilson Hall, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cane Bay at 12:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
