There's no place like home for the Bristow Pirates, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over Ripley on Saturday. For Bristow, this counts as revenge for the 47-38 defeat Ripley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bristow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addi Alexander, who scored 21 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Yocham, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bristow is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Ripley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bristow and Sperry will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sperry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ripley, Ripley and Stroud will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stroud will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Ripley is ranked 107th).
