The Lassiter Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Blessed Trinity Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lassiter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last four contests.
Lassiter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Roswell as Lassiter made off with a 68-45 win. Given Lassiter's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Roswell is ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lassiter can attribute much of their success to Jaden Emmanuelli, who scored 13 points, and Aidyn Davis, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Kyhir Torrence was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Blessed Trinity suffered their closest defeat since November 13, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Johns Creek by a score of 43-40.
Lassiter pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Blessed Trinity, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
Everything went Lassiter's way against Blessed Trinity when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as Lassiter made off with a 56-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lassiter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
