Meanwhile, Liberty had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Iowa City 59-58 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddoc Coapstick led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Hughes, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
