Ledford has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Davidson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Ledford Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the West Davidson Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Ledford took on Eastern Randolph on Friday. Ledford blew past Eastern Randolph 16-1. The victory was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Leah Leonard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Ledford got a massive performance out of Ava Francis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Francis has posted since back in April of 2024. Cassidy Murray was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ledford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Davidson). They put the hurt on Wheatmore with a sharp 16-6 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.
Like Ledford, West Davidson also got a great game from a two-way player: Hannah Rollins. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Those hits marked the first that Rollins allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run.
In other batting news, Gracie Michael was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Mahala Darnell also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Ledford's record now sits at 3-0. As for West Davidson, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
West Davidson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ledford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .677. It's a different story for West Davidson, though, as they've only averaged .355. Will they be able to contain Ledford's hitters?
Ledford skirted past West Davidson 5-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ledford since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
