The Winston-Salem Christian Lions pushed their score all the way to 82 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 91-82 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlisle. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (61), Winston-Salem Christian still had to take the loss.
Carlisle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Branson Leduc-Mattox out in front who scored 26 points along with three blocks. Leduc-Mattox hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Trey Beamer, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds.
Winston-Salem Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Carlisle, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Winston-Salem Christian will be home for the holidays to greet New Life Christian Academy on Friday. As for Carlisle, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
