The Holy Name Green Wave will challenge the Brunswick Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holy Name is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Holy Name is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Elyria Catholic just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Reagan Vavro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aubrey Stephens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Garlow, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Brunswick entered their tilt with Strongsville on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 21-3 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brunswick also got a great performance from Kiley Williams as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
At the plate, Addison Compton was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and three RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Delainey Andolek was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Brunswick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Holy Name's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Brunswick, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Holy Name's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Green Wave have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Brunswick, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Holy Name continue to outrun the ball?
