After flying high against the Garfield Boilermakers on Thursday, the Lyndhurst Golden Bears came back down to earth. Lyndhurst fell just short of Waldwick by a score of 44-42. Lyndhurst lost against Waldwick in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-30 score last time.
Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooke Harper, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam Mayer, who scored 13 points.
Lyndhurst's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Waldwick, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Lyndhurst will head out on the road to face off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waldwick will be home for the holidays to greet Cresskill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
