It was a good run, but the Denair Coyotes unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Orestimba by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Denair has not been shut out since back in December of 2023.
Denair's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6-2. As for Orestimba, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8-4 record this season.
Denair will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Woodland Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Denair is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 537th, while Woodland Christian is ranked 1117th). As for Orestimba, they will head out on the road to square off against Wheatland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Orestimba is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
