The Brackett Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the La Pryor Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Brackett and 31 for La Pryor.
Brackett pushed their score all the way to 73 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sabinal.
La Pryor suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Stockdale, falling 48-19. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for La Pryor in their matchups with Stockdale: they've now lost four in a row.
Brackett has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for La Pryor, they dropped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home.
Brackett took their win against La Pryor in their previous matchup on January 2nd by a conclusive 57-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brackett since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
