West Florida Baptist Academy found their leader in underclassman Olivia Pearce, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Pearce has scored at least 25% of West Florida Baptist Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Enfinger, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Gulf Pointe Latin didn't have too much trouble with Covenant Christian on the road on Friday as they won 47-28.
Gulf Pointe Latin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Holland Hamer, who scored 17 points along with 7 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hamer has scored at least 25% of Gulf Pointe Latin's points. Coral Hamer was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.
The losses dropped West Florida Baptist Academy to 4-4 and Pensacola Catholic to 0-3.
