5A Columbia River recap November 5, 2013
Pendleton took down Jefferson 50-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chad McCoy threw for 332 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 22 yards in the win.
The Buckaroos made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,643 from 6,960. The improvement was the result of a 50-6 victory over the Democrats last week.
6-foot-0 quarterback McCoy of Pendleton is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,838. He has also thrown 30 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ramon Contreras. The Hermiston star has 55 catches for 985 yards.
Contreras of the Hermiston's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 15 receiving yards in this week's game against Dallas to get there. So far this year, he has acheived 55 catches for 985 yards.
Erik Davis' team led 5A Columbia River in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on Jefferson. McCoy ran for 22 yards during the win.
