The North Harrison Cougars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 64-59 W over Crawford County on Friday. The victory was just what North Harrison needed coming off of a 64-36 loss in their prior contest.
Crawford County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laken Belcher, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Belcher has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Seibert, who scored 16 points.
North Harrison's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-16. As for Crawford County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-15.
North Harrison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. Clarksville is coming into the game with seven straight victories on the road, so North Harrison is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Crawford County, they will face off against Borden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
