The St. Edward Beavers were the  38-29 winner over the Twin Loup Wolves when they last played one another  back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. St. Edward lost to Twin Loup on the road  by a decisive  51-34 margin on Friday.
 Despite the loss, St. Edward still got an impressive performance from   Anthony Reader, who  scored 25 points. Reader scored a full 73.5% of St. Edward's points, the tenth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Marcos Paez, who  scored three points along with seven  rebounds.
 St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Twin Loup,  the  victory  got them back to even at 5-5.
 St. Edward will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Santee at 7:00  p.m. Twin Loup and Chambers/Wheeler Central will face off  on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chambers/Wheeler Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
