It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cross Trojans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Allendale-Fairfax by a score of 28-18. Cross is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Tyler Mungin had a dynamite game for Cross, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown. Mungin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
Cross' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Cross will take on Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games. Allendale-Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
