Lake Mary Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wade Brashears, who scored 21 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Carson Cruse, who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Circle Christian's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas Valdes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. Connor Lion was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
The victory got Lake Mary Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Circle Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Faith Christian the next time they take the court. Circle Christian will head out to face Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Lake Mary Prep will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
