Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Denair, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on Delhi with a sharp 17-3 win on Wednesday. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.
Makayla Dayton and Kenzie Prine made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Dayton struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Prine tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Dayton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Dayton went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Prine scored two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI Dayton has posted since back in May of 2024.

That's the most stolen bases Marroquin has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Havyn Boucher, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Denair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Denair has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stone Ridge Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
Everything went Stone Ridge Christian's way against Denair in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Stone Ridge Christian made off with a 13-2 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
