After losing to the Tulpehocken Trojans the last time they met, the Upper Perkiomen Indians decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Upper Perkiomen came out on top against Tulpehocken by a score of 54-45 on Saturday.
Tulpehocken's loss came despite strong showings from Aidan Schwalm and Marcus Matias. Schwalm scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, while Matias scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds. Schwalm scored a full 35.6% of Tulpehocken's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Upper Perkiomen back to even at 1-1. As for Tulpehocken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Perkiomen will face off against Kutztown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tulpehocken, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
