Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 14 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Delta Eagles proved on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 76-35 win over Daleville at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Delta.
Delta got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Amare Hood out in front who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Wors, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Daleville still got an impressive performance from Koleman Newsome, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds.
Delta's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Daleville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Delta will head out on the road to face off against Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Allowing an average of 56 points per game, Centerville has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup. As for Daleville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
