The Steele Comets were the 71-49 winner over the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees when they last played one another back in November of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Steele took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Monday.
Jessie Zenir was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds for Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Zenir is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Maya Woods was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Steele dropped their record down to 9-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steele will challenge Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Nordonia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
