The Riverside Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Charleston Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Riverside came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 52-39 on Thursday. Given Riverside's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Tigers are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Wilson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was DJ Gaston, who scored 12 points.
Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Charleston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Riverside will head out on the road to challenge the Gators at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
