The Norwayne Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Chippewa Chipps at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Norwayne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
Last Monday, Norwayne didn't have too much trouble with Buchtel on the road as they won 61-47. The win was just what Norwayne needed coming off of a 48-26 defeat in their prior game.
Norwayne found their leader in underclassman Allie Demassimo, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Maibach, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Chippewa waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 47-11 win over Hillsdale on the road. Chippewa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Norwayne is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Chippewa, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Norwayne lost to Chippewa on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Norwayne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
