The postseason has brought with it a whole lot of change in the power rankings. Among the action were the efforts of Highland's senior Garrett Marti, an offensive menace who scored seven total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Highland's 77 - 47 win over Herscher last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Garrett Marti. Marti tossed the ball for 377 yards and six TDs. That performance made Marti one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
No Stoppin 'Em
Highland and Herscher went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (124) among all power ranked teams. Highland had all the answers against Herscher, winning 77 - 47. Highland saw its record improve to 13-0 and its power rank jump eight places as a result.

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Loyola Academy (6th in the power rankings) took on Marist (8th) last week. Loyola Academy scooted by Marist with a score of 30 - 10. As a result, Loyola Academy rose three spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Maine South (2nd in the power rankings) and Lincoln-Way East (1st). Both teams are coming in hot off of wins in their previous games. Of course, Maine South and Lincoln-Way East can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Saturday which team falters and which extends its success.
