They walked away with a 67-57 win over Atlantic Shores Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sean O'Connor was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Harris, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 assists.
Hampton Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.2 points per game. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Hampton Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Greenbrier Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Portsmouth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portsmouth Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
