The Lehi Pioneers will take on the Lone Peak Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Lehi is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Westlake just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 3-2.
While Lehi ultimately came up short, they really made Westlake work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 16-14.

Tyler Olson also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Meanwhile, Lone Peak faced Pleasant Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Lone Peak had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.
Lehi's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Lone Peak, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Lehi came up short against Lone Peak in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Knights' Trevor Allen, who had 14 digs and three aces. Now that the Pioneers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
