Norcom is 6-1 against Granby since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Norcom Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Granby Comets at 2:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Two weeks ago, Norcom was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 21-16 to Churchland. Norcom has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Nakeem Jones, who rushed for 121 yards on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Granby and Churchland were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but Granby suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss.
Despite their loss, Granby saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Christian Post, who threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Cameron Harris got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Norcom now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Granby, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
Everything came up roses for Norcom against Granby when the teams last played back in September of 2022 as the team secured a 40-0 victory. Will Norcom repeat their success, or does Granby have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
