Dryden is a perfect 3-0 against Akron-Fairgrove since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Dryden has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Dryden let Kingston stack six runs on them in the second inning on Thursday but luckily Dryden prevailed anyway. Dryden had just enough and edged out Kingston 9-8.

Dryden let Ian Tresnek and Owen Gall run wild. Tresnek went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Gall went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Dryden is 3-1 when Tresnek posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Santi Perales was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Dryden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .682. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Akron-Fairgrove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to Vassar.
Akron-Fairgrove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joel C., who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Dryden's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Akron-Fairgrove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Akron-Fairgrove's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dryden hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. It's a different story for Akron-Fairgrove, though, as they've only averaged .187. Will they be able to contain Dryden's hitters?
Dryden took their win against Akron-Fairgrove in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
