Corinth Christian Academy has gone 6-0 against Westwood Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Corinth Christian Academy Warriors will be playing at home against the Westwood Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Corinth Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Cornerstone Academy. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 16-12 in the first quarter.

Despite their defeat, Corinth Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alden Hughes, who posted 12 points along with five assists and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Hughes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Amerson, who earned 13 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Westwood Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-47 to First Assembly Christian Academy.
Like Westwood Christian, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Tripp Kirkland led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 17 boards. Avery Thomas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Westwood Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.
Westwood Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Corinth Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Corinth Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Westwood Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 46 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Corinth Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Westwood Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory.
