Even though the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Greater Vision Academy Lions still came out on top. Greater Vision Academy enjoyed a cozy 71-56 win over Chatham HomeSchool. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greater Vision Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greater Vision Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josiah Love, who scored 27 points along with five assists and four steals. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. Titus Tucker was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Chatham HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tommy Driscoll, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Gray Cable, who scored 13 points.
Chatham HomeSchool struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Greater Vision Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
Greater Vision Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Lab University Prep Regional at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Southeastern HomeSchool at 3:30 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Southeastern HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
