The Lago Vista Vikings won the last time they faced the Brady Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Lago Vista skirted past Brady 39-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lago Vista.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lago Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Lockhart, who scored ten points along with six steals. Lockhart set a new season high mark in points with ten. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliana Helton, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Brady still got an impressive performance from Lola Whisenhunt, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Whisenhunt's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Aiva Farris was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Even though they lost, Brady were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lago Vista only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Lago Vista is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Brady, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Lago Vista will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against The Woodlands Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Brady, they will take on Johnson City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson City is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
