The Dorman Cavaliers were the 65-42 winner over the Gaffney Indians when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Dorman fell to Gaffney 67-61. Dorman's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Leading Gaffney to victory were Markell Hollis and Rickey Littlejohn. Hollis scored 16 points, while Littlejohn scored 21 points along with eight assists. Littlejohn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Londin Bailey was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Dorman's defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Gaffney, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dorman will face off against Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gaffney, they will head out on the road to take on James F. Byrnes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. James F. Byrnes will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
