St. Charles had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They skirted past Chopticon 70-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the defeat, Chopticon saw an underclassman step up: Brian McMahon scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McMahon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Braylon Harrison, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
St. Charles pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Chopticon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles will take on Lackey at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chopticon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Westlake at 6:30 p.m. Westlake is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
