There's no place like home for the East Bakersfield Blades, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Liberty by a score of 64-57 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Badger, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Badger scored 15 or more points. Isaac Nolasco was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
East Bakersfield's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will take on Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Highland will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. Liberty and Minarets will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
