Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chartiers-Houston). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fort Cherry Rangers a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Chartiers-Houston's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Cherry, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chartiers-Houston is set to take on their familiar foe Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 1.4, the Chargers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Fort Cherry will square off against rival Burgettstown at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
