After flying high against the Sublette Larks last Friday, the Meade Buffaloes came back down to earth. Meade took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Gray on Tuesday. Meade has struggled against South Gray recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meade lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dallas Sherman, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Sherman hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Liz Hawley was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meade has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for South Gray, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
Meade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-33 victory vs. Ashland on the 9th. South Gray has also already played their next contest, a 62-42 victory against Southwestern Heights on the 9th.
