On Saturday Newport take on Kearsarge/Mount Royal Academy at 1:30 PM. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.
Newport suffered a grim 22-52 defeat to Somersworth last Saturday. The state rankings had actually given Newport a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Kearsarge/Mount Royal Academy came up short against Campbell, falling 15-29.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
