Sadly, the Living Stones Christian Lions are still looking for their first win of the season after seven matches. They were dealt a 70-39 defeat at the hands of Memorial Lutheran on Tuesday. Living Stones Christian lost against Memorial Lutheran in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-57 score last time.
It was another big night for David Porter, who scored 28 points for Memorial Lutheran. Porter hasn't dropped below 15 points for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Porter, who scored 17 points.
Living Stones Christian's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Memorial Lutheran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Living Stones Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Family Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Living Stones Christian is facing Family Christian at the right time seeing as Family Christian is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Memorial Lutheran, they will head out on the road to square off against Divine Savior Academy - Sienna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Texas (Divine Savior Academy - Sienna is ranked 1331st, while Memorial Lutheran is ranked 1308th).
