In what's become a running theme this season, the Center Hill Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 79-52 victory over Grenada on the road. Center Hill's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Zarria Shipp was nothing short of spectacular: she scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Madison S. hughes was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Grenada lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lauren Harges, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Harges hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Carlei Brown, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Center Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Grenada, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Center Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grenada won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Coffeeville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
