The West Florence Knights were the 35-30 winner over the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Florence lost to North Myrtle Beach at home by a decisive 53-35 margin on Wednesday. West Florence has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kendrina Johnson and Gabrielle Gunter certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson scored eight points along with seven rebounds, while Gunter scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
West Florence's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for North Myrtle Beach, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
West Florence will face off against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wilson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hartsville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
